TD-SCDMA Update

 - According to Singapore's Business Times, Ace Achieve Infocom, a Chinese provider of telecommunications software solutions, has forged a partnership with China Netcom. The two companies will cooperate on the construction of 3G network infrastructure in Quingdao based on China's homegrown TD-SCDMA technology. Under the tie-up, the two companies plan to inject a total investment of at least one billion RMB (US$129.9 million; US$1 = 7.7 RMB) into this project, slated to be completed by October 2007.

- Grentech, a Chinese wireless product and service provider is reported to have signed a supply agreement with Datang Mobile. Under the terms of the agreement, Grentch will supply 2,000 units of RF (Radio Frequency) power amplifier modules customized for use in Datang Mobile's TD-SCDMA base stations. The majority of Grentech's delivery will be its own-developed TD-SCDMA TRB 2W modules.
